THERE’S “a rare opportunity” for prospective Case IH Puma tractor purchasers to ride off into the sunset with a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The just-announced sales initiative has been flagged by Case IH’s tractor product manager, Tim Fanning, who says anyone buying a long wheel base Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Puma tractor before March 31 will also get their hands on a legendary Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883 motorcycle.
He says the unusual offer of getting a motorcycle on the back of purchasing a new tractor will be “tough to pass up” and is in line with the company’s objective of coming up with “something really special” in the first quarter of 2012.
For those in the know about motorcycles, Harley’s Sportster Iron 883 XL883N model is described as a “blacked out bruiser,” offering an “authentic ride” and comes with a black powder-coated 883cc engine.
Meanwhile, Case IH’s CVT can be chosen on the Puma 165, 180, 195 and 210 tractor models and is standard on its range-topping model 185kW (251hp) Puma 225.
The Puma CVT also includes additional features such as Diesel Saver Automatic Productivity Management logic and ActiveStop technology.
Interestingly Case IH also is offering a $1,500 Visa gift card with every Maxxfarm tractor purchased before the end of March.
The Maxxfarm tractor range is suited to small farms, horticulture, plantation and orchard crop production because of its compact size and manoeuvrability, also its available power band, according to product manager, Case IH, Julie Rippey.
Six models range in capacity from the 18.75kW (23hp) Maxxfarm 25 to the 42.75kW (57hp) Maxxfarm 60.
Accessories include the Maxx-Lift loader, built specifically for Maxxfarm tractors, along with a 60in mower deck for the Maxxfarm 25 and 30 models, and a 72in mower deck for the Maxxfarm 35.
