Steers to $1030 at Leongatha

AROUND 2300 cattle were yarded at the Leongatha store sale yesterday where steers sold to a top of $1030.

The top pen was sold by Henry and Margot Thimm from Callignee.

The Thimms sold 28 steers alltogether from $1005-$1030 or 167-168 cents a kilogram.

Mr Thimm said they aim to sell their steers at the 600 kilogram mark and made $1000 per head.

Feature line Gembost P/L, Tarwin Lower sold 94 steers from $ 730-$805.
